Well... I've been investigating different Palaces to try and get my memories back. I don't know who I am, or where I came from, so I figured searching around would give me some clues.

But I'm definitely human! ...I think.

Is there some specific reason you think that you're a human?

[bagcat]

I have to be! I can talk, and I have a Persona. A dumb cat couldn't do that. I'm just stuck in this form until I can turn back to how I was.

I'd agree that the evidence confirms that you're no ordinary cat, but not being a cat doesn't necessarily make you human. You should maintain an open mind as you investigate the situation.

I can only imagine how difficult it must be to have holes in your memory. How far back do you remember?

I remember waking up in Mementos, but... that's all. I've been wandering around Mementos and other Palaces ever since, but I haven't found a single clue yet.

Uh-- you know what Mementos is, right? The biggest Palace, looks like a subway?

I'm not aware of it. Whose is it?

What's your schedule like? Do you have school tomorrow?

Technically yes, but I'll just let the office know I'm not coming. I make the school look good, so they don't care what I do.

Really? Do you get good grades or something?

[doesn't really know how high schools work, this is a total guess]

Yes, but that's not why. I'm somewhat famous, so they simply want to cash in on my name.

[Morgana jumps down from the chair and stretches.] What're you famous for?

I'm an amateur detective. I've been on TV a couple of times after solving a few cases.

So you have a Persona and you're famous. Veeery interesting.

I don't know anything about solving crimes in the real world, but I know all about breaking and entering into Palaces in the Metaverse. And criminals have some of the most distorted hearts of all.

They certainly do. Personally, I have no forgiveness for them.

Me neither. Who did that stupid king think he is, locking me up... He must treat people in the real world just the same way.

So where did you first learn about Palaces? And how'd you get your Persona?

[afailedmurder]

He surely does. Did you traverse in far enough to see the women's area? Truly repulsive.

As for me, one day I found a mysterious app on my phone. I didn't know what it was and couldn't delete it, so naturally I began testing it out. It seemed to be some kind of map, so out of curiosity I searched for the place I'd been staying. I was living with a guardian at the time, and because of that, the Nav got a hit. From there it only took a bit of guesswork to find my first Palace.

I had rather unstable living conditions as a child, and I'd always worked hard to behave for the adults around me, even as they ignored me and passed me around. Deep down I knew I'd never be truly accepted... but to actually see it first-hand came as a real shock. I was overtaken with rage, disgust, and an incredible will to survive. That was when Loki came to me.

[bagcat]

Yeah, I did... [He shudders. As much as Morgana admires humans, that was definitely a rude awakening into the worst of them.

He then listens quietly, his ears pinned back.]

It sounds like you had a really rough time. I can see now why you're by yourself, if that's how you were treated.

It was, but I'm doing all right for myself these days. With my abilities, I don't need to depend on anyone.

[bagcat]

Hey, I'm dependable, you know!

[... that sounded a bit desperate, so he tries to tone it down:] I-I mean, I can teach you more about the Metaverse, and you can even use it to help with your detective work. Until I learn who I really am, I don't have anywhere else I can go, so...

A bowl of water would be good. Since you don't have a litterbox, um... I guess I can go outside for now? Just let me back in when I'm done.
