12 - A kid can't do anything
Middle-school-aged A is watching a politician giving a live speech. Surprise surprise, it's that same bald douchebag that has shown up several times already in his memories. A watches from the crowd, dead-eyed, until the speech is over, then pushes his way to the front. When he gets to the stage, a guard stops him. He asks, suddenly all politeness and smiles, if he can interview Mr. Shido for his school project. Though he plays his part very well, he is denied and watches as Shido leaves. His expression flatlines and he too leaves.
To anybody watching this broadcast, that's all that happens. But for A, who spent the entire speech plotting to take the kitchen knife he had concealed in his jacket and slit his piece of shit father's throat, it's enlightening.
