4 - A day in the life
[This is probably a montage for those of you watching — hopefully, anyway, because absolutely nothing of any interest happens. Akechi wakes up alone in his small studio apartment, grumpy from too little sleep and and sore from the night before. All the same, he crawls out of bed and gets ready for his day. Breakfast is a cup of instant coffee as he double-checks the location of the fancy new bakery he's decided to visit.
It's nice enough out, so he decides to ride his bike through an extremely familiar-looking city. The line for the bakery is long, but he passes the time by reading an article about himself on his phone ("Second Coming of the Detective Prince?") Once inside he orders the house specialty, snaps about a hundred pictures for his food blog, and buys a gift box of prepackaged pastries (though he only eats about half of his own food - it's a little rich even for him).
He heads home and picks at his homework for awhile. There's a lot to catch up on, but it's boring and he's bored. He checks his phone over and over for new texts, but there are none. By lunchtime (onigiri and a canned coffee from the convenience store down the block; he spent way too much money on that gift box), he's given up and started reading a mystery novel.
Half-priced supermarket bento for dinner. Writing a glowing review of the bakery from that morning. More glancing at his phone (especially at a certain app icon, which he only barely resists pressing several times). But he needs to keep his grades up, and he can't do that just by being smarter than the worthless idiots in his high school, so he spends the rest of the day plowing through homework.
Ignoring the expensive goods he bought that morning in favor of some cheap ass moon pies, he has a snack and a bath and flops into bed.]
